If you are heading overseas in the near future, for work or pleasure, an essential part of the travel experience is making sure you don’t get sick along the way.
Our doctors are well travelled individuals, who carefully monitor health outbreaks throughout the world and understand the risks that come with some destinations.
You can find out more about specific destinations by visiting the World Health Organisation or you can book into see one of our doctors if you have a complex trip planned, to get your vaccinations tailor made to you and your trip.
Before Your Visit
In preparation for your visit to the practice, we ask that you bring along;
- Vaccination History
- Planned Destinations/Itinerary
- Specific Information on your activities
If you are struggling to access your vaccination records, our support team will be able to assist you. You can also have a blood test, which can assist in determining your immune status.
To assist in a thorough consultation, you can also download and complete our Travel Consult Questionnaire and bring it with you to your appointment, otherwise try to arrive a few minutes early in order to complete this.
If you are a new patient to our practice, you can also download and complete our New Patient Information Form prior to your appointment.
If you have an Overseas Student Health Care fund, please bring your card along to the appointment.
Your Visit
You will have a thorough consultation with our doctor, where they will determine what vaccines you require for your trip, considering your timelines and destinations.
If you decide to have the vaccination, we ask that patients wait at the practice for the time advised by the doctor, to monitor you for a short while. During this time you will be regularly assessed by our Practice Nurse.

Fees for Travel Consultations
The fee for your travel consultation will reflect the time you spend with the doctor, but will also depend on the vaccines you require.

Other Information
Your visit to our practice should be no later than 4 weeks prior to your trip. So you can allow yourself as much time as possible, try to book your initial consultation with us up to 12 weeks before you leave the country.
We stock the most common vaccines are are an accredited Yellow Fever provider.
